Who killed Andrew Earlham? Murderer revealed in Liar season 2 finale
AFTER over two years of waiting, we FINALLY know who killed Andrew Earlham on Liar.
At the end of season one we saw he’d been murdered and in the dramatic finale for series two the killer was revealed.
WARNING: Contains spoilers from the final episode of season 3 of Liar and we do reveal who killed Andrew.
Who killed Andrew Earlham?
Well after MANY red herrings we found out that it WAS Laura Nielson who killed Andrew Earlham.
No one thought it would be her as it was way too obvious – but it was.
After lots of twists and turns in the season finale, Andrew’s main rape victim was revealed to be the killer.
At first it looked like it was Andrew’s friend Oliver or his son Luke – in fact we were convinced.
When Oliver was arrested for blackmailing DS Rory Maxwell, it looked like lead detective on the case, DI Karen Renton, was about to arrest him as the killer.
However, we then saw her go to see Laura at a pub, telling her she had arrested Oliver – before saying: “But I still think you killed Andrew Earlham.”
The show of course went to a break, with us viewers on the edge of our seats.
When the show returned DI Renton explained how she knew it was Laura and coaxed a confession out of her.
In a flashback to that fateful night we saw Laura and Andrew fighting on the marshes, before Laura got hold of his knife and slashed him several times across the throat.
He then fell into the murky waters – which explains how he ended up in the marshes.
After this had all been revealed, the big twist was when DI Renton told Laura she had taken herself off the case and wouldn’t be pursuing it further – thus letting Laura off the hook.
The final scene saw Laura having a drink with her ex boyfriend Ian and them agreeing to give it another go and start from fresh.

Will there be a Liar season 3?
Following the dramatic ending of Liar which revealed Laura to be Andrew’s killer, fans are insisting there be another series.
The way the show ended, with Laura walking free from the crime after DI Renton turned a blind eye, means there could be another season, as we get to see how her life will progress further.
However, ITV are yet to confirm if there will be a season 3.
If it does happen it could take over 2 years, as season one ended in September 2017.
