Was Andrew Earlham murdered by his own son on Liar?
THINGS took a dramatic twist in the penultimate episode of season two of Liar.
The show was left on HUGE cliffhanger which has made us rethink, who killed Andrew Earlham?
Was Andrew Earlham murdered by his own son on Liar?
Kicking off with that cliffhanger then, and in the final few moments of episode five Andrew’s son Luke said he wanted his father “dead”.
In a flashback scene, we saw Luke talking to a therapist.
The teenager was receiving counselling after trying to kill himself by throwing himself off Deal Pier.
He tried to commit suicide after police came to arrest his father for being a serial rapist.
Andrew had gone on the run by this point leaving Luke alone to face the music.
Clearly tortured by what his father had done, Luke attempted to kill himself.
Now, during therapy – which he was having while his father was still alive – he was asked how he felt about his dad.
To this he replied: “If I see him he’s dead.”
It looks like Luke could be the one who killed his father in retaliation for all the pain and suffering – both physically and mentally – he has cause him.
Who else are the Andrew Earlham murder suspects?
This list of suspects has gone down, but here’s who else we believe could’ve bumped off evil rapist Andrew.
Andrew’s friend Olly
Also towards the end of the episode, in a flashback, we saw Olly in a shipping container with Andrew.
It looked a lot like the same shipping container where police had found Andrew’s blood – and Laura’s necklace.
We know that Andrew was blackmailing Olly into getting him to help him while he was on the run.
Could he have bumped him off to stop him threatening to release incriminating evidence of him?
DS Maxwell
Now we also know from episode 5 that DS Maxwell’s son Greg, who is also an officer, was being blackmailed too.
It is unclear by who, but it looks like it was probably by Andrew.
It looks like Maxwell and Greg framed the murder scene to look like Laura killed Andrew, by planting her necklace in the shipping container.
But did one of them kill Andrew to stop the blackmailing?
The blackmailer was threatening to release evidence that Greg had had a cocaine overdose – as a police officer himself, that would NOT look good.
