Soccer Trials in Spain and Club Placement Process
Once home to some of the world’s most beloved footballers including Raul, Ronaldiño, Figo, Ronaldo, and Beckam, Spain is perhaps the most popular country for international soccer players to dream of playing in someday (boys and girls). Spanish professional soccer clubs such as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico de Madrid, among others, consistently dominate the most coveted European cup competitions.
Each Pro IFX Spain player is taken to trial with partner Spanish soccer clubs according to each individual players' level. Our concept (unlike most other Barcelona soccer academy who form their own teams made up of international soccer players who inevitably have different abilities) enables each player to develop in a training environment fit to their level, so that they can be challenged by their pier Spanish futbol players, and also have a realistic chance of getting playing time during the Spanish football season.
Once a fitting Barcelona soccer team / club (or Zaragoza/Cádiz) is found, IFX carefully manages each player's international transfer clearance (ITC) process, necessary in order for the Spanish player licensing process federated by the Spanish pro soccer association, the Real Federación Española de Fútbol. This is a careful process but one that IFX has over 15 years of experience in dealing with different state and national soccer federations and associations.
After the soccer trial period, each player integrates with their Barcelona soccer club (or Zaragoza / Cádiz), to train and compete with them, week-in/week-out throughout the season as a fully rostered member to compete in a fully federated division within the Spanish football tier structure. The level of club and league is completely dependent on the ability of each individual player.
The Spanish football season runs year round with quality field conditions even in the dead of winter. Teams enjoy a short break during holidays, but are otherwise training throughout the Pro IFX Spain program duration from early September through end of May the following year.
