Contra Costa library system back to normal after ransomware attack
MARTINEZ — The Contra Costa County Library is back to normal at all 26 branches after being disabled early last month by a ransomware attack.
“As of this afternoon, WiFi and printing is back at all 26 branches,” said library system spokeswoman Brooke Converse said in an email sent Thursday.
Converse said that public WiFi and printing services were being restored at about two branches a day since the ransomware attack on Jan. 3. She said there haven’t been new attacks on the library system.
The criminal investigation into the attack and the source of the ransomware attack is continuing.
