Creep who took nude video of his own mother is now charged with stealing her car
A man who was previously arrested for recording and distributing video of his mother nude has been charged with stealing her car.
Jonathin Helms, 32, was arrested Friday morning on Longview street in Wichita Falls, Texas while allegedly taking his mother’s car for a joyride.
Helms’ mother told police that she left her keys out on her counter and later found her car missing.
When police stopped helms in the car, he told officers that he was using the car to go visit a friend, KFDX reported.
His mother told police that she used to allow her son to drive her car, but has not done so for more than two years – after her son filmed her while she was naked in a bathtub.
Helms was arrested in 2017 and charged with improper recording after he barged in on his mother while she was in the bath and began recording video of her.
Shortly after the incident, Helms’ mother got a call from her daughter who said she had received the footage of her in the bathtub from Helms.

Helms’ charge was dismissed in 2018 when he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of promotion of obscene material. He was sentenced to a maximum of 12 days in jail, although is unclear if he served the entire sentence.
In September 2019, Helms was reportedly also charged with assault family violence.
Court records show his mother was granted a protective order in 2017.
