USA beats Mexico, will face South Korea in first-ever WBSC Premier12 Final

<p>TOKYO — The world No. 2 U.S. National Team defeated No. 12 Mexico, 6-1, in the semifinals of the WBSC Premier12 at the Tokyo Dome Friday night .</p>
<p>USA’s Adam Frazier collected three hits and was named the Hublot Player of the Game.</p>
<p>The U.S. and No. 8 South Korea, who defeated world No. 1 Japan in the first semifinal Thursday night, will meet in the championship finale at the Tokyo Dome Saturday night at 19:00.</p>
<p>In Mexico’s loss to USA, Humberto Sosa hit a home run in the top of the fourth inning that briefly gave Mexico a 1-0 lead.</p>
<p>The U.S. scored five runs and had eight consecutive batters reach base in the bottom of the fourth inning.</p>
<p>Zeke Spruill was the winning pitcher.</p>
<p>Mexico will face Japan in the bronze medal game Saturday at 13:00.</p>
