WBSC Premier12 star Adam Frazier makes MLB debut, singles in first at-bat
<p>PITTSBURGH, PA (USA) – Adam Frazier, who was a member of the U.S. National Team that captured the silver medal at the 2015 WBSC Premier12, <a href="https://m.pirates.mlb.com/pit/video/v852511183/?player_id=624428" target="_blank">singled in his first at-bat</a> while making his Major League Baseball debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates.</p>
<p>Frazier was promoted by the Pirates last Friday and was leading the International League (AAA) with a .333 batting average. Frazier has since collected his first big league RBI and stolen base, and is currently 3-for-6 (.500) for the Pirates.</p>
<p>In the inaugural Premier12™ global championship last November, Frazier hit .355 (11-for-31, 4 2B, 5 RBI) over eight games and was named to the <a href="https://www.wbsc.org/news/wbsc-premier12-all-world-team-announced/">All-World Team</a> (second baseman). In the semifinal versus Mexico, Frazier went 3-for-4 and earned Hublot Player of the Game honours.</p>
<p>Asked about his recent “whirlwind” experience in baseball, Frazier told reporters:</p>
<p>“I got to go to Taiwan and Japan, which was a pretty awesome experience, and now I’m here in Pittsburgh. Seeing the world…and having a good time doing it.”</p>
