Chisora vs Price tale of the tape: How heavyweight pair match-up ahead of showdown in London
TWO of Britain’s most popular heavyweights are set for a titanic clash in the capital.
David Price and Dereck Chisora will go to war at the O2 Arena as they look to position themselves for one last shot at world glory.
Chisora vs Price tale of the tape
FIGHT fans are looking forward to what could be a career-defining contest at the O2.
For the loser of this one it’s difficult to see where they go next, whilst the winner could set up a lucrative showdown with new heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk.
The huge 6ft8 Price has the height and reach advantage by some distance, towering over the 6ft1 Chisora.
But all of Del Boy’s power comes from that stocky frame and he will hope to get inside Price’s long levers and inflict damage on the inside.
Chisora now has nine career defeats, his most recent coming late last year in an all-British clash with Dillian Whyte.
That saw Chisora hit the deck in the eleventh round, but he’s since come back beat Senad Gashi and Artur Szpilka to keep his career alive.
Whilst Price won the WBA continental heavyweight title last time out against Dave Allen and continues to defy the critics who said he was finished after back-to-back defeats in 2018.
20 of his 25 wins have come by way of knockout, whilst Del Boy’s power-punches have knocked out 22 of his 40 opponents.
The vacant WBO Inter-Continental heavyweight title is up for grabs in the capital but there’s so much more on the line for these two battlers.
They will go head-to-head on the undercard of Prograis vs Taylor on Saturday, October 26.
