Kerry Katona says Atomic Kitten’s Liz McLarnon punched her in the back of the head during bitter row
KERRY Katona said her Atomic Kitten bandmate Liz McLarnon punched her in the back of the head during a bitter row on tour.
The singer, 39, opened up about the heated moments while on the road as fellow girl band Little Mix are on tour.
She said it’s “easy to fall out” and told them to give each other space, as things can get heated.
Writing in her new! column, she said: “I remember some of the fights we had in Atomic Kitten back int he day.
“Once, Liz punched me from behind after we had a little row. I was furious and got my own back.
“I made her get changed in the toilets at SMTV Live, then I stamped on her feet while we were up on stage singing Whole Again.
“It was silly stuff, but we were like sisters, and sisters fight!
“I just hope lovely Little Mix stay on good terms – at least until the end of the tour!”
Kerry was a member of Atomic Kitten for three years between 1998 until the band split in 2001.
Despite reforming for gigs occasionally, the other two members – including Natasha Hamilton – have fallen out with Kerry.
She was reportedly “heartbroken” after the band recorded a World Cup version of their song Whole Again last year.
A source told The Sun Online: “Kerry is heartbroken, She’s absolutely gutted that the girls would sing the song without her.”
They continued: “She always thought they’d get back together and this was the most amazing opportunity for this to happen.
“She’s a single mum and has been struggling looking after the kids and the family, so it hurts her a lot to be left out of it.”

Kerry also believes that the other band members have blocked her.
The singer said in an interview with Star: “I’ve tried to text them a few times but I think they’ve blocked me!”
She added: “They don’t talk to me. It’s really, really sad. The girls are like my baby sisters. I’m pushing 40 now and I’m too old for silly little arguments.
“We’re all going through so much as grown ups, so it’s silly to be bickering.”
