The Queen is in fits of giggles as she dances with Diana, Charles and Andrew in unearthed footage at Balmoral in the 90s
EVERY year, the Queen heads up to the Scottish Highlands to relax, spend time with family – and host the Ghillies Ball for Balmoral staff and other members of the local community.
Now, an unearthed clip of Her Majesty having a fabulous time at the annual event has emerged online.
The Queen often stays in Balmoral until October and the Ghillies Ball is hosted towards the end of the summer break.
In the clip, believed to be from 1991, the Queen can be seen in fits of giggles as she dances with Prince Charles, Princess Diana and Prince Andrew.
At one point, the Queen dances in the middle of the group, surrounded by her nearest and dearest, including Princess Anne, Prince Philip and the Queen Mother.
The event is always private, but it seems during that year, it was allowed to be filmed for a special BBC documentary in honour of her 40th Jubilee.
The clip was shared online by a Duke and Duchess of Cambridge fan account on Instagram, @teatimewiththecambridges.
They wrote: “A clip of the event that The Duke of Cambridge *most likely* attended while he was in Scotland for a few days last week!
“As I mentioned yesterday, the Ghillies Ball is an annual event The Queen hosts at Balmoral Castle for her family, neighbours, and staff as a way to say thank you before she returns to London in early October!
“This clip is in 1990 and from a documentary about Balmoral so it’s definitely not the norm for pictures or videos to ever surface.
“And yes, picturing Prince William dancing like this is hilarious and I highly recommend it.”
