Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat at Sunderland has not only deepened concerns on the pitch, but has also seen their relegation outlook shift sharply following the latest supercomputer projections.
Roberto De Zerbi’s start to life at Tottenham Hotspur did not go as planned as his side fell short against Sunderland on his Spurs debut.
Tottenham lost 1-0 at the Stadium of Light after a Mukiele strike pretty much sealed the deal and sent Spurs down to 18th in the Premier League table with six games to go.
Spurs will now have to pick themselves up in the final weeks of the campaign as the fight against relegation is set to go down to the wire this season.

Opta’s AI has now crunched the numbers and offered a prediction on how likely Tottenham are to avoid relegation this season.
Spurs have maintained their Premier League status for close to half a century and now risk losing it this season as they battle relegation with three other sides.
Predicting the likelihood of them staying up, the supercomputer has gone against Spurs, giving them a 46.50% chance of going down, making them the side most likely to be relegated among their rivals.

Spurs face uphill battle as rivals’ survival chances improve
West Ham United, however, have now bolstered their chances of staying in the English top flight with their 4-0 win over Wolves on Friday.
That victory now has the Hammers on a 36.03% chance of being relegated from the Premier League this campaign.
Nuno’s men have long occupied the bottom three this season, but after an upturn in form this year, they have managed to turn their fortunes around and now have a two-point lead over Spurs, who are in 18th place.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest, who secured a draw against Aston Villa, have been handed a 9.56% chance of getting relegated, with Leeds handed a 7.88% chance of going down.
