AEW Dynasty 2026 Predictions

All Elite Wrestling is set to run Dynasty, its second pay-per-view event of 2026, this Sunday, April 12, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. The eight-match main card will be preceded by a free Zero Hour that features Alex Windsor taking on Marina Shafir. I won’t be breaking down the pre-show match, but I’ll say Shafir gets a much-needed win after some recent losses.

For the main PPV, here are my predictions:

Chris Jericho vs. Ricochet

After months of speculation that he’d be jumping to WWE, Jericho returned to Dynamite recently and looks to have brought “The List of Jericho” with him. Unless they want to tell a story about ring rust, Jericho is the obvious choice here. We’ll see what kind of a match Ricochet can get out of his 55-year-old opponent. Winner: Chris Jericho

Casino Gauntlet Match: AEW TNT Championship Match

An injury to Kyle Fletcher led to him vacating the title, and a new champion will be crowned in the gauntlet match. We don’t know many entrants other than Tommaso Ciampa, though with Ciampa involved, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a Mark Briscoe appearance. It’s hard to predict a match with so few known competitors, and a returning injured star—Wardlow or “Switchblade” Jay White—could make things interesting, but I’ll go with Ciampa. Winner: Tommaso Ciampa

Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita vs. The Young Bucks

With Fletcher injured, Okada steps in for the tried-and-true “how will they co-exist” wrestling trope. My guess is they won’t, and Okada will do something to cause Takeshita to take a pin from the Bucks, who are coming off a high-profile loss to FTR. That sets up the Young Bucks to battle Cope and Cage, while Okada faces Takeshita. Winners: The Young Bucks

Jon Moxley (C) vs. Will Osprey: AEW Continental Championship Match

One thing AEW does well is presenting matchups where you can see a rationale for either outcome. That’s the case here. On the surface, Osprey returning from injury portends a clear win. We’re talking Moxley here, though, so perhaps a revenge-driven Osprey makes a key mistake, opening the door for Mox to win. Ultimately, I expect Osprey to challenge for the top title at All-In in August, so I say they start building that here. Winner: Will Osprey

Darby Allin vs. Andrade El Idolo

Personally, I would give Andrade the win. He’s had so many stops and starts in his career; I’d like to see a promotion really get behind him and see what he can do in the main event scene. Instead, Allin wins to become the No. 1 contender at May’s Double or Nothing, likely against MJF. Meanwhile, Andrade moves away from the Don Callis Family. Winner: Darby Allin

Thekla (C) vs. Jamie Hayter: AEW Women’s World Championship Match

While the AEW women’s division is deep and talented, it feels a bit rudderless following the sudden loss of Toni Storm. This should be a good match. There hasn’t been much of a build, though, so Thekla retains amid outside interference shenanigans with Skye Blue, Julia Hart, and Alex Windsor. Winner: Thekla

FTR (C) vs. Cope and Cage: AEW World Tag Team Championship Match

This is just a solid, old-school, pro wrestling feud. FTR have been great as champs, and the pairing of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage is a fun bit of nostalgia. In front of their home country fans, Cope and Cage win the titles, setting up a future confrontation with the Young Bucks (and maybe more FTR in a Triple Threat at Wembley). Winners: Cope and Cage

MJF (C) vs. Kenny Omega: AEW World Championship Match

After holding onto the title against “Hangman” Adam Page, MJF seems likely to carry the title into All-In this August for a matchup with Will Osprey in London. Omega is a made man, though, and I can’t dismiss the possibility that Omega regains the top prize—a main event of Omega and Osprey is a tempting draw as well. I’m still going with MJF, though. His matches are great, his promos are the best in the company, and people want to watch him. Winner: MJF
