NES Sale: Save up to 70%
Value-seeking capsuleers,
Recently, we posted about two principles we have put in place for monetization in EVE: value over FOMO and PLEX as a fluid currency powering the economy of New Eden.
This means simpler offers, clearer value, and more reasons for PLEX to move through the ecosystem rather than sit idle. Now it is time to put that setup to the test.
From 11 to 21 April, the New Eden Store will feature discounts across nearly the entire catalogue, with the exception of Omega and apparel. The goal is simple: strong value on smaller utility items, meaningful discounts on bigger purchases, and enough variety that most players can find something useful:
Accelerators — 2 for 1
Alpha Injectors — 3 for 1
Multiple Character Training — 40% off
Skill Extractors — 3 for 2
Mastery Packs — 20% off
Boost Bundles — 25% off
Expert Systems — bundled together, 30% off
Career Packs — 2 for 1
Pilot’s Body Resculpt Certificate — 50% off
Older SKINs — in bundles up to 70% off
HyperCores — 3 for 1
Omega itself returns in the more stable bundle structure through the regular Omega + PLEX deal in the EVE Store, in line with the direction we outlined previously.
Why These Offers
The lineup is designed to cover a broad range of needs:
Accelerators, Injectors, MCT, Skill Extractors and Mastery Packs support progression and character planning.
Boost Bundles, Expert Systems, and Career Packs lower the cost of trying roles, activities, and focused goals.
Pilot Resculpt and older SKINs improve access to identity and customization.
HyperCores support players who actively use the HyperNet feature.
This is not just about a sale, but about how we’re implementing the principles we’ve been telling you about.
PLEX works best when it is fluid: traded, spent, and available when capsuleers want to use it. One of the strengths of a major NES event is that it is accessible not only to players spending real money directly but also to those acquiring PLEX through the in-game market.
This only works well if the PLEX supply on the market remains healthy. That is why this NES event is paired with support on the supply side as well. Alongside the sale, the Omega + PLEX deals will return, and the ongoing PLEX sale has been extended until 14 April, 23:59 UTC. We have also recently introduced bulk discounts on PLEX and added AliPay and WeChat Pay in major territories, helping more players get access more easily.
This is a test, not a destination, and we’d rather learn in the open with clear goals than pretend we have a perfect setup from day one.
We will be closely watching uptake, PLEX market activity, and your feedback. Depending on how this performs, we may build on some of these ideas further in both the NES and the EVE Store.
For the benefit of all, as they say on Earth.
