'Saturday Night Live' Cast Supports Lorne Michaels at Premiere of Documentary Film 'Lorne'
The current cast of Saturday Night Live is supporting Lorne Michaels at his movie premiere.
The upcoming documentary film from director Morgan Neville premiered in New York City on Thursday night (April 9) and included an after party.
Ben Marshall, Jeremy Culhane, Ashley Padilla, Mikey Day, Marcello Hernández, Kam Patterson, Tommy Brennan, Kenan Thompson, Chloe Fineman, Jane Wickline, Colin Jost, Alex Moffat, Veronika Slowikowska, and Sarah Sherman were all in attendance.
Special guests included Kyle MacLachlan, Diane Lane, Natasha Lyonne, Amy Schumer, and Seth Meyers.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lorne “includes exclusive footage, archival gems and interviews with pivotal SNL personalities. Tina Fey, Chris Rock, Conan O’Brien, Maya Rudolph, Andy Samberg and John Mulaney are among those sharing memories for the project.”
Lorne created the long-running sketch comedy show that debuted in 1975. It recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and throughout its run, Lorne has earned 24 Emmy Awards along with producing projects like Mean Girls, 30 Rock, Wayne’s World, and more.
Focus Features will release Lorne theatrically in the United States on April 17.
