Amanda Bynes Makes Unexpected Return to Public Eye by Re-Entering This Entertainment Field Again
Amanda Bynes famously quit acting back in 2010 after not liking how she looked in Easy A, and has since appeared on a podcast episode, gotten a job as a manicurist, started an OnlyFans, showed off her art, and released some singles. As of 2026, she’s returning to one entertainment venture, and no, it’s not acting.
In case you missed it, today, on April 10, Bynes released a new song that her label, Create Music Group, calls a track that “blends melodic rap with EDM-inspired production, creating a catchy, high-replay record with a smooth West Coast bounce.”
They added, “Built around a strong hook and confident, flirt-heavy energy, [the song is] designed for repeat listens and wide playlist appeal. Featuring [hip-hop artist] Fenix Flexin, it taps into a familiar L.A. sound while staying fresh and accessible.”
Bynes even told Us Weekly: “My inspo was a lot of EDM [electronic dance music] as well as rap.”

While Bynes was part of two songs in the 2007 musical movie Hairspray, she actually came out with two singles in 2022 called “Diamonds” and “Fairfax,” both with her then-fiancé Paul Michael, with whom she was in a relationship with from 2019 to 2023.
(“Diamonds” was actually a 58-second song they released in 2021, but made a longer version many think about in 2022!)
