Ludvig Aberg's Girlfriend Is a Former College Athlete
Ludvig Aberg enters the Masters playing some of the best golf of his young career and seems poised to contend at Augusta National Golf Club once again.
In two starts at the Masters, Aberg has finished solo-second and solo-seventh and the Swede knows a third year of experience won't hurt this time around.
“This place, experience goes a long way, and I felt like we played a very disciplined round of golf today,” he previously said. “When you execute the shots, it makes it a whole lot easier, obviously, but I felt like we managed sort of the shots where we were in between clubs in the right way and didn’t try to force anything.”
Ludvig Aberg is Dating Olivia Peet, Former College Athlete
Before Aberg tees off on Thursday, he and girlfriend Olivia Peet partnered up for the Par 3 contest.
The couple was spotted posing with Matt Fitzpatrick and his wife, Katherine, and Viktor Hovland and his new girlfriend Tuva Jensen.
Peet is a former tennis player at Texas Tech, where both went to college. She finished her collegiate career with 144 career wins split between singles and doubles.
A four-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree, she played primarily at the top of the Lady Raiders’ lineup as a senior, earning All-Big 12 Second Team recognition in singles and posting three ranked victories.
She also earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, requiring a grade point average of at least 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0, in each of her four years of college.
Ludvig Aberg Knows The Masters Is 'Sneaky' Hard
During his second appearance at Augusta National, Aberg made a realization that every over golfer has come to learn about the Masters.
“It was sneaky hard,” Aberg said of the conditions at Augusta National. “There isn’t a ton of wind, but it still swirls. “There’s a few greens that get a little crusty towards the end of the afternoon, and you really have to place your second shots if you’re good off the tee. It makes it tricky when the wind kind of goes back in your face and then down.”
The weather forecast is perfect for all four rounds of the Masters this time around, so Aberg won't have anything to complain about – unless the greens get a bit too crispy.
Aberg tees off alongside Jon Rahm and Chris Gotterup in a featured group set for a 1:08 p.m. ET tee time.
