‘Small Creations, Great Contribution’: BoC event raises over €10K for Anti-Cancer Society
The Bank of Cyprus’ (BoC’s) two-day event, “Small Creations, Great Contribution”, held at Nicosia Mall over the weekend of April 4-5 2026, exceeded organisers’ expectations, with all proceeds donated to the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society.
The event formed part of the Bank’s initiatives supporting the Christodoula March and was implemented with the participation of dozens of volunteers from across the Bank of Cyprus Group.
A specially designed kids’ area operated on the ground floor of the shopping centre, where children engaged in drawing and creating Easter and spring-themed crafts, while in a separate area volunteers offered Anti-Cancer Society Easter candles for sale. The “Bingo” game proved particularly popular, with each number drawn awarding small and large prizes to both children and adults. At the same time, visitors had the opportunity to purchase the children’s book “Maria and Joy”, further supporting the event’s cause.
The participation of the BOC Kids Volunteers, children of the Bank’s employees, was also noteworthy, as they offered chocolates to the public for a €2 contribution. This initiative aims to foster and strengthen a culture of volunteering from an early age.
On Sunday, Nicosia Mall was filled with music and smiles, as children from the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, wearing the yellow shirts of the Christodoula March, performed cheerful and uplifting musical pieces, offering a memorable experience to all attendees.
The Bank of Cyprus extends its sincere thanks to all volunteers from its staff who enthusiastically supported the event, the BOC Kids Volunteers, Nicosia Mall, the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, as well as Jinius Marketplace, JOEY App, Frou-Frou Group of Companies and Pizza Hut for their valuable contribution.
Finally, the Bank expresses its gratitude to the public who attended the event at Nicosia Mall, generously supported the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society, participated in the activities and applauded the children of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Total proceeds from the event exceeded €10,000, further supporting the work of the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society.
