Pabst Blue Ribbon Gets in the Sausage Business in Time for Grilling Season
People cook with wine, and some even pour beer while grilling their carne asada.
So, it shouldn't come as a shock that Pabst Blue Ribbon is getting in on the action with a new beer brat.
PBR has partnered up with Smithfield to roll out a new beer brat with three bold flavors, including jalapeño and cheddar and chipotle and cheddar, with brats made with premium pork.
"Beer and brats have always belonged together, we just teamed up with Smithfield to do it right with a seriously good brat," said Kat Mata, Director of Culture Marketing at PBR. "It's an easy win for anyone who believes grilling should come with a cold beer."
The new beer brats are "infused with the smooth taste of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer for a juicy bite with a satisfying snap.
"As the weather gets warmer, we know consumers are planning to gather over great food, and bold flavors are a must," Marianne Radley, managing director of marketing for Smithfield Foods, said in a statement. "This new bratwurst lineup, including the innovative Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer Brat, delivers premium, crave-worthy options that are easy to prepare and made for sharing, bringing bold, grill-ready flavor and good times to every backyard get-together."
PBR's latest collaboration is available now at Publix, Walmart, and Kroger nationwide.

Play PBR's New Arcade Game
As previously reported, PBR recently rolled out a new arcade game available at select bars nationwide.
Fans get the chance to use joystick controls that function like real tap handles to see if fans can stand the heat behind the bar during rush hour.
Some obstacles include blown kegs and pitcher requests, among others.
“I came up with the idea for Perfect Pour while watching a bartender rush back and forth across a wall of taps during happy hour,” Dan Fessler told Men’s Journal last month. “It was frantic and fast, but also precise and controlled. The best bartenders make it look effortless. It was a real lightbulb moment.”
