Scottie Scheffler Hit With Harsh Warning Before the Masters
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler enters the Masters as the odds-on favorite to win the green jacket for a third time.
While nearly every betting odds platform, if not all of them, in the world have Scheffler as the favorite, one golf writer believes the four-time major winner is in for trouble at Augusta National Golf Club this time around.
Golf Digest's Shane Ryan ranked the 41 golfers with the best chance to win the Masters based on "vibes" and Scheffler was left in a precarious spot.

Scottie Scheffler Hit With Warning Before the Masters
First, Ryan revealed the good vibes surrounding Scheffler, like the fact he's still the No. 1 player in the world, a two-time Masters winner and new dad of son Remy.
That's where the good vibes stopped, though.
"Absolutely stinks in 2026, by which I mean he already has a win and has not finished worse than T-24 at any event and is the envy of his peers," Ryan said with a hint of sarcasm.
The golf analyst believes there's something "off" with Scheffler this year.
"Still, something’s off—he’s been chippy on and off the course, throwing fake fist pumps at missed putts, carping at the media and genuinely peevin’ it up. And he can't even blame ravioli this year—you only get one ravioli exemption per lifetime."
Ultimately, Ryan doesn't believe Scheffler has a "snowball's chance in hell" of winning the Masters.
"None. I am fully in Scottie's headspace lately, and agree with him that he's doomed. This week, instead of a fake fist pump when he misses an easy putt, he should do a sarcastic 'donning the green jacket' move, and make Ted Scott pretend to drape it over his shoulders," Ryan said.
Scheffler is scheduled to tee off alongside Robert MacIntyre and Gary Woodland in a featured group at 1:44 p.m. ET.
