Man, 21, stabbed to death after fight breaks out on Primrose Hill
A manhunt has been launched after a 21-year-old man died and another one was injured in a stabbing at a popular London beauty spot.
The young man was stabbed to death at Primrose Hill yesterday as people had gathered to enjoy the hottest day of the year so far.
The emergency services were alerted to reports of a fight at the north London viewpoint at about 6.40pm.
They found the 21-year-old man with stab wounds.
Despite their best efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Another man, believed to be in his 20s, was then spotted by police officers on Regent’s Park Road.
He had also suffered stab wounds, and he was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Met Police said.
Footage circulating on social media shows the aftermath of the stabbing, with crowds milling around while paramedics and police officers treat one of the men lying on the ground.
Superintendent Matt Cox said: ‘This is an utterly tragic incident and our thoughts remain with the man’s family and loved ones.
‘I would like to reassure the local community that the investigation is unfolding at pace and an increased police presence will remain in the area while we carry out enquiries.
‘I would appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information that could help my officers to come forward.’
