Exes Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey Run Into Each Other on Shared Flight to Hawaii

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey allegedly had an awkward run-in on a shared flight recently.

The 45-year-old pop singer and 52-year-old Love is Blind co-host were reportedly both sitting first class on a flight from Los Angeles to Kauai, Hawaii on March 29.

A source told TMZ they “went out of their way to avoid each other the entire time,” with Jessica even allegedly switching seats with someone to put more distance between them, and Nick turning “bright red” when he noticed her.

However, Us Weekly shared a conflicting report.

“They actually did say hello, and it was a nice, cordial conversation,” a source told the outlet.

Nick‘s wife Vanessa Lachey was reportedly onboard too, as was the “With You” singer’s estranged husband Eric Johnson, though he was supposedly sitting in coach.

Jessica and Nick were one of the most famous “It” couples of the early 2000s. They married in October 2002 and went on to star in the MTV reality show Newlyweds for three seasons. Jessica later filed for divorce in December 2005 and it was finalized by June 2006.

A couple of years back, the former 98 Degrees frontman shared rare comments about his divorce from Jessica while hosting Netflix reality show The Ultimatum.
