Taylor Frankie Paul Files Restraining Order Against Ex Dakota Mortensen Ahead of Court Hearing
Taylor Frankie Paul is filing for a restraining order.
The 31-year-old The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reality TV star filed for a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, with whom she shares a son, on Tuesday (April 7).
The filing came less than an hour before a planned court hearing in Utah regarding Dakota‘s restraining order against Taylor and custody of their child, per Variety.
In late February, both parties accused each other of domestic violence, and production on the hit Hulu show was paused amid the police investigation. At the same time, ABC scrapped Taylor‘s season of The Bachelorette as well after a 2023 video was published showing Taylor throwing chairs at her ex-boyfriend Dakota.
A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department in Utah also confirmed that there is an open “domestic assault investigation” regarding the two, and that “allegations have been made in both directions” and “contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th.”
Just a day prior to the restraining order filing, Taylor Frankie Paul announced she was detaching herself from Mormonism.
It was also just recently announced that the men that competed on Taylor‘s season of The Bachelorette will soon be interviewed on the official Bachelor Nation podcast.
