Four years prison for man who stabbed colleague
A 31-year-old Cypriot citizen of Iraqi origin received a four-year prison sentence on Tuesday for stabbing his colleague.
The man admitted to charges of causing grievous bodily harm and making threats.
The attack occurred on August 14, 2025, after the victim, originally from Bulgaria, made a remark about work matters.
The perpetrator stabbed the victim in the left side of the abdomen, causing abrasions to his arm and lower limbs.
The victim was taken to hospital, treated and kept for 23 hours.
After the incident, the 31-year-old went to the Kofinou police station, confessed to the stabbing, and was arrested.
