2 girls drown in village pond
Tragedy struck Patanda village as two young girls, Pranjali Dora (11) and Manini Dora (12), drowned in a local pond on Tuesday. The students had gone to bathe after school. Despite rescue attempts by others, the girls were later recovered by firefighters and declared dead at a community health centre.
