Somehow, Massive Fans Are Already 100 Percent Completing 'Crimson Desert'
Crimson Desert is one of the largest video game open-worlds in recent memory, with hours and hours of content to consume across a gorgeous game world. The game has more than 30 mini-games, 76 bosses, dozens of sets of armor and weapons to collect, and a lot more. Some fans may have thought it would take a long time to fully complete the game, but alas, there are a few diehard fans who have already platinumed (did everything the game has to offer).
The first known and documented 100 percent completion was TioZer0 on Reddit. The post was made to Reddit at around 7:30 a.m ET on Monday, April 6. In the post, TioZer0 screenshotted the moment the coveted PlayStation Platinum trophy popped, signaling the end of a massive journey.
When asked how long it took, TioZer0 said it was more than 300 hours, writing, "I went for the blind approach, and it took me 305 hours. Over 60 of those hours were hunting the insects and fish at the end, so this number is pretty inflated." The full list of trophies is available in-game, as well as on PSNProfiles. The list itself is daunting and requires full completion of almost every aspect of the game.
Some fans are less interested in the ability to fully complete Crimson Desert and are more interested in how many hours it took, as well as how TioZer0 was able to do it so fast. Emotional_Cash5310 wrote, "This game came out 18 days ago, and it took you 305 hours to complete it. Considering there are 24 hours in a day and 24x18 is 432, you spent 70 percent of waking hours playing this game, which comes out to roughly 13 hours a day."
TioZer0 responded with, "When God of War Ragnarok came out, I averaged 18 hours a day, but it only lasted for 4 days. When Borderlands 4 came out, I averaged 10 hours a day for 10 days. Marathoning like that for more than two weeks is absolutely brutal and should never be done."
Even developer and publisher Pearl Abyss is surprised at the accomplishment. PR and Marketing Director Will Powers said on X, "But the game has only been available for 428 hours..."
Crimson Desert is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
