Offset has three kids with singer Cardi B, and he is her ex-husband.
Cardi B has previously expressed how her divorce from Offset changed her life for the better. “I feel like last year a new person was reborn,” she said on the Aspire With Emma Grede podcast. “I don't know if it was the divorce. I don't know if something woke me up. I feel like I'm definitely a new person.” Cardi B, who was married to Offset for seven years, filed for divorce in 2024, according to E! News.
“A lot of artists or celebrities that have really big, major businesses that are successful, they didn't build their brand on the second or third year of being big celebrities,” she explained on the podcast. “They built their brand when they [were] seven to eight to 10 years in the business, and I feel like right now is the perfect time.”
The Offset Shooting Comes Less Than 4 Years After Offset's Cousin Was Fatally Shot Outside a Bowling Alley
According to the Miami Herald, it's not the first shooting to strike Offset or his entourage. "Takeoff, who was a fellow Migos member and Offset’s cousin, was fatally shot outside a downtown Houston bowling alley on Nov. 1, 2022," the newspaper reported.
What happened in that instance? "Houston police arrested and charged 34-year-old Patrick Clarke about a month after he allegedly shot and killed him during a fight over a high-stakes dice game at 810 Billiards & Bowling on Nov. 1, 2022. Clarke, however, has since maintained his innocence," according to ABC 13.
Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset were raised by Takeoff's mother.
