Storms and hail forecast across Cyprus through Easter week
Cyprus will see unsettled weather from Tuesday onwards with the met office warning of rain, thunderstorms and possible hail affecting much of the island until Good Friday.
Local rains and isolated storms are expected mainly in Troodos, Limassol, Larnaca as well as Nicosia.
Isolated showers may occur earlier in Paphos before spreading inland by midday.
Temperatures will reach around 22 degrees in Nicosia and 21 degrees on the coast of Limassol and Larnaca, dropping to about 11 degrees in Troodos.
Conditions will ease in the evening with mostly clear skies, although increased cloud coverage is expected in Paphos.
Overnight temperatures will fall to around 9 degrees in Nicosia, 11 to 13 degrees in Limassol and Larnaca and close to 4 degrees in the Troodos.
Wednesday, the weather will be mainly clear before afternoon clouds brings isolated rain and possible storms, mainly in Troodos and Famagusta with further showers later in Paphos and Kyrenia.
Thursday, local rains and storms are expected throughout the day mainly in Paphos, Polis and Kyrenia.
On Good Friday, scattered rain and storms are expected, first in Paphos before moving inland, as conditions shall improve from the afternoon, becoming mostly clear by evening.
