Savannah Guthrie Returns to 'Today' After Mom's Disappearance, Says 'It Is Good to Be Home'
Savannah Guthrie is back on Today.
The 54-year-old co-anchor returned to the NBC morning show on Monday (April 6) alongside Craig Melvin for a full day of work for the first time since the disappearance of mom Nancy Guthrie at the beginning of 2026.

Savannah wore a yellow dress, and declared: “It is good to be home.”
“Yes, it is good to have you back at home,” Craig responded.
“OK, here we go. Ready or not, let’s do the news,” she declared before moving forward with all the biggest news headlines of the day.
Later on, Al Roker said that he likes looking over at the desk and seeing Savannah where she belongs, via THR.
Fans lined up with “extra enthusiasm and even more signs supporting Savannah” in the morning.
Carson Daly and Al Roker joined the desk later on during the broadcast, as Savannah said she was “excited to give them all a hug.”
“I’m really feeling the love so much,” she said.
Later on, Jenna Bush Hager arrived with a “Morning Boost” toddler hack.
“We don’t even need a boost because we have our sunshine back,” she said, referring to Savannah.
