5kg additional rice for PDS card holders in Odisha
Odisha's state cabinet has approved the Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana (MAPY), set to launch in the 2026-27 financial year. Beneficiaries under NFSA and SFSS will receive an additional 5kg of rice monthly, bringing their total to 10kg. This initiative aims to address the insufficiency of the current 5kg quota, with the state government bearing an annual expenditure of Rs 8,813 crore.
