Charles Barkley has freezing cold take on Illinois-UConn game
BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ
There are no guarantees in March Madness, a lesson TNT analyst and NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley has learned time and time again.
Before the Final Four matchup between Illinois and UConn, Barkley felt like he had it all figured out.
“I’ll be honest with you. I don’t think it’s going to be a close game,” Barkley said before the game. “I think Illinois is going to beat [UConn] pretty good.”
UConn won the game against Illinois, 71-62.
The Huskies punched their ticket to the championship game behind 17 points from big man Tarris Reed and 15 from freshman Braylon Mullins.
They will play the winner of Michigan and Arizona on Monday for a chance at their third national championship in four years.
