Illegal Alien Criminal from Ecuador Allegedly Kidnaps 4-Year-Old from Long Island, NY Laundromat, Released with Ankle Monitor
An illegal alien criminal in Long Island, NY, was arrested at the end of last month for allegedly kidnapping a 4-year-old girl from a laundromat.
Local police arrested 38-year-old Carlos Corte, an illegal alien from Ecuador, and charged him with kidnapping. Shockingly, he was then released with an ankle monitor to track him.
Fortunately, the 4-year-old girl was found safe.
According to authorities, a mother was at a local laundromat with her two kids when the little girl was escorted out of a door by Corte.
The alleged kidnapping happened last Saturday, a little after noon.
PATCHOGUE (WABC) — A man was arrested and accused of kidnapping a 4-year-old girl on Long Island, sparking a desperate search, police said.
The little girl was found safe.
Carlos Corte, 38, was arrested in Patchogue after allegedly kidnapping a girl from Laundry Kingdom, police said.
“Court documents revealed that Corte took ‘her to a second location without the authority or permission of her parents, thus causing a substantial risk of danger to her life or health,'” ABC 7 News NY Reported.
The little girl was found at a kids’ play area at the local library, which was in a nearby shopping center.
Library staff noticed something was wrong and contacted authorities. The little girl was reunited with her mother shortly after that.
Corte was arrested near his residence on March 31st by ICE New York’s Long Island Fugitive Operations.
