What is danceFLOW?
danceFLOW is a gentle, rhythm-based movement practice drawn from qigong and tai chi—longstanding traditions developed to help people move, breathe, and recover more easily.
It helps you feel more at home in your body — easier days, deeper rest — without performance or pressure.
When rhythm returns, tension eases — and things begin to flow.

A Gentle Beginning
This is a small, guided 8-week experience where we use movement, conversation, and simple prompts to help you begin capturing your life stories.

We begin with speaking—not writing.
How It Works
Each session follows a simple rhythm:
- gentle danceFLOW movement
- guided prompts
- group + paired conversation
- reflection
- optional capture of your stories
Capture what matters while it’s fresh. Structure comes later.

Limited to just 8 participants—so everyone has space to be heard.
We’ll work using gentle questions and listening:

You are always in control of what (and how much) you share.

Guided by Robert Tang
Founder of danceScape, Robert brings experience in communication, storytelling, and movement.
A 3-time Canadian and 2-time North American dance champion, his work (with Beverley Cayton-Tang) has appeared in The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Toronto Sun, The Marilyn Denis Show, and Dragons’ Den.
He has also published research exploring rhythm and perception.
This background supports a process that helps people gently shape lived experience into clear, meaningful expression.

Optional Saturday Inspiration Sessions
Optional Saturday sessions may be offered to support your process between classes.
Sometimes outdoors, sometimes online—these are relaxed, informal spaces for:

- reflection prompts
- conversation
- capturing ideas while they’re fresh
