Season 6 will chronicle the final 24 hours of Jesus of Nazareth’s life, exploring the perspectives of those who loved him and those who sought his death. Creator Dallas Jenkins shared that while audiences know the story’s outcome, this season dives deeper into the “why” behind the crucifixion.
“We realized this not only deserved a season of television but a standalone full-length theatrical event as well. We wrote and filmed all of it with this in mind,” he said.
Jonathan Roumie returns as Jesus alongside Shahar Isaac, Paras Patel, Elizabeth Tabish, and more.
All five previous seasons are currently streaming on Prime Video. The series remains one of the most-watched in the world, with over 300 million viewers.
