6 Shows Have Already Been Canceled in 2026 on Netflix and Apple TV+
We're just a quarter of the way through 2026, but there have already been a half dozen high-profile shows that have been canceled across Netflix and Apple TV+, including one that was nominated for 11 Emmy Awards.
As we head into April, here are the five shows on Netflix and one show on Apple TV+ that have been canceled through the first three months of the year.
In addition to these shows, Netflix has also announced that several beloved shows will come to a planned end in 2026.
The Abandons (Netflix)
After just one season, Netflix has pulled the plug on The Abandons. Despite a strong debut, viewership quickly dropped off for the Western drama, resulting in the show's cancellation. Showrunner Kurt Sutter was not happy about the decision as he publicly blasted Netflix on social media, accusing the streaming giant of prioritizing algorithms over creators.
The Vince Staples Show (Netflix)
While The Vince Staples Show was critically acclaimed with a 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes, that wasn't enough to save it from cancellation, as the show found itself on the chopping block this year after two seasons as a result of low viewership numbers.
Terminator Zero (Netflix)
While Terminator Zero received rave reviews from those who watched the show, creator Mattson Tomlin confirmed last month that the show had been canceled by Netflix because "not nearly enough people watched it."
Alice in Borderland (Netflix)
Though Alice in Borderland emerged as a fan-favorite show through two seasons and racked up 25 million views for its third season, it will not be returning for a fourth as Netflix quietly announced the show's cancellation in its viewership report.
Class (Netflix)
While Class was originally renewed for a second season, Netflix changed its mind on the series as the show's cancellation was officially confirmed in early 2026. It's the latest international co-production to struggle to find a broad enough audience on the platform.
Pop The Balloon LIVE (Netflix)
The live dating reality show Pop The Balloon LIVE was part of Netflix's ongoing experiment with live programming, but it clearly did not stick with fans, as it has been canceled after just one season.
Palm Royale (Apple TV+)
Even though Palm Royale earned 11 Emmy nominations for its first season, including Outstanding Comedy Series, that was not enough to save it from cancellation after its second season, as the show was canceled by Apple TV+ earlier this month.
