Pedro Pascal Gets Visit from Rafael Olarra While Working on New Gay Romance Movie in Mexico

Pedro Pascal is spending more time with Rafael Olarra.

The 51-year-old actor was spotted hanging out with Rafael on the set of his upcoming gay romance movie De Noche, new photos published by TMZ show.

It was recently confirmed that Pedro is taking over the role vacated by Joaquin Phoenix, who dropped out of the project at the last minute back in 2024. The movie is back in production with Danny Ramirez co-starring.

The film “charts the passionate and unexpected love affair between a cop (Pascal) and a boarding school teacher (Ramirez) in 1930s Los Angeles, when the city is overtaken by corruption and the world is on the brink of war. The two men become targets of the city’s corrupt political machine and are forced to flee to Mexico,” according to Variety.

Back in February, Pedro and Rafael were photographed strolling around Los Angeles and flaunting some PDA. Photos showed Pedro with his arm wrapped around Rafael‘s body with his mouth and chin resting on his shoulder, seemingly giving him a kiss. Rafael also wrapped his arm around Pedro at one point during the stroll and even grabbed his butt for a quick squeeze.

Rafael was linked to actor Luke Evans from 2020 to 2021.
