Jessica Simpson Has A New Musician Beau After Her Divorce From Eric Johnson
Jessica Simpson is dating a musician after her split from Eric Johnson.
The 45-year-old singer has been dating Thomas Eisenhood for several months after meeting through mutual friends, according to Us Weekly. “She’s happy. She’s in a great place, excited for her future,” a source told People of Simpson’s new romance.
Simpson’s new boyfriend, Thomas Eisenhood, is a Nashville-based musician and singer who also works as an IT tech for music festivals and a sound engineer at The Basement music venue in Nashville, per his LinkedIn. He was previously a saxophonist for the Stoop Kids band, which broke up in 2023.
It’s unclear how old Simpson’s new beau is, but the singer did express interest in dating someone younger during an October 2025 interview with Extra. “I think I’m into younger men at the moment,” she said. “When you’re newly separated… I feel like younger guys kinda like the confidence of an older woman, I’m discovering.”
Simpson and Johnson announced their separation in January 2025. “Eric and I have been living separately, navigating a painful situation in our marriage,” Simpson said in a statement at the time. “Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”
Simpson and Johnson married for 10 years and share three children: daughters Maxwell Drew, 13, and Birdie Mae, 7, and son Ace Knute, 12. People’s insider said Simpson and Johnson are on good terms after their breakup. “She and Eric are committed to being the best possible parents they could be, having a harmonious relationship and supporting their kids,” the source said.
