Acting AG Todd Blanche Breaks Silence After Bondi Ouster — Slams “Fake Narratives,” Vows DOJ Reckoning on Lawfare, Fraud, and Foreign Influence

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche appears on Jesse Watters Primetime.

During an appearance on Jesse Watters’ Primetime Thursday night, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche stepped into the spotlight just hours after President Donald Trump tapped him to lead the DOJ following the sudden firing of Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Blanche pushed back hard against media speculation surrounding Pam Bondi’s departure and the state of the DOJ.

When pressed by Watters on what “really happened” to Bondi, Blanche didn’t hesitate to torch what he described as dishonest reporting.

Blanche even shot down reports that Bondi tipped off Eric Swalwell about the Fang Fang files.

Acting AG Todd Blanche:
A lot of what you just said about what happened to the attorney general is simply not true. As President Trump said today, the attorney general made our country safe again. She is a friend, and she did a great job in the first year of this administration. People should not forget what the Department of Justice was like when she came in just over a year ago. And so, we are a better Justice Department. We are safer as a nation. We should all be very grateful to the attorney general for her sacrifice for this country and for what she did.

Jesse Watters:
Yeah, I like Pam Bondi too, but she didn’t—she didn’t give Swalwell a heads-up on the Fang Fang files, did she?

Acting AG Todd Blanche:
I would not believe that for a second. Absolutely, positively not.

Jesse Watters got right to the point, asking about the slow-walking of massive cases against New York AG Letitia James, Adam Schiff, John Brennan, and James Comey, the very cabal behind the Russia hoax, the impeachments, and the endless witch hunts.

He pressed Blanche if he is the man to finally bring the hammer down on the likes of Letitia James, Adam Schiff, John Brennan, and James Comey.

Jesse Watters:
The president is reportedly—probably, obviously—frustrated that the case against Tish, Schiff, Brennan, and Comey isn’t really going anywhere. Are you the guy that’s going to be able to get that done?

Acting AG Todd Blanche:
Look, I think the president is frustrated. Everybody is frustrated, because what we saw happen for the past four years is unforgivable and can never happen again. So certainly, I don’t mind the frustration—I appreciate it—because we do have to make sure that what happened for four years never happens again. We don’t talk about investigations, but I can tell you that the Department of Justice is working hard every day. It was working hard yesterday, and we’re going to keep working hard tomorrow. I’m honored that President Trump has asked me to step in as acting attorney general, and I’m also very appreciative of what Pam Bondi did over the past year.

Jesse Watters:
I mean, you get the anger. What Biden and Obama did to this president—you understand there’s a lot of anger about that, right?

Acting AG Todd Blanche:
Not only do I understand—I lived it, Jesse. Don’t forget, I was on your show two years ago, the night President Trump was found guilty in Manhattan, in the middle of the lawfare. So I don’t need any kind of explanation—I had firsthand experience of what happened. And so yes, I understand it. The American people understand it. And I know they expect that it will never happen again, and we take that seriously.

The interview also dove into the Epstein files saga. Watters pressed hard, but Blanche stood firm: the files have been fully released under the Transparency Act signed by President Trump.

Bondi and Blanche testified before Congress. Every document – redacted or not – was made available to lawmakers.

Jesse Watters:
Yeah, you fought that case hard—you absolutely did. Now, the Epstein files—you’d agree, not handled well?

Acting AG Todd Blanche:
No. And first of all, I’ve never heard President Trump say that anything that happened to the attorney general had anything to do with the Epstein files. The Epstein files have been a saga that has existed for the past year. What happened when the president signed the Transparency Act is that the Department of Justice released all the files related to the Epstein matter. Attorney General Bondi and I appeared voluntarily before Congress a couple of weeks ago to answer any questions. We’ve made every document—redacted or unredacted—available to members of Congress who want to review them. So to the extent the Epstein files were part of this past year, they should not be part of anything going forward.

Jesse Watters:
Okay, well, you’ve combed through these files, right? Who was Epstein spying for?

Acting AG Todd Blanche:
Look, I don’t know that he was spying for anybody. Nobody’s ever said that.

Jesse Watters:
You don’t think he might have been a spy for a foreign country?

Acting AG Todd Blanche:
I have no idea if he was a spy. All I know is that we don’t have any evidence in the Epstein files collected by the FBI over 15 years that suggests that. I wasn’t involved in the investigation, and neither was Attorney General Bondi. But I can tell you this: there’s only one president who held Mr. Epstein accountable, and that’s Donald J. Trump. During his first administration, that was the administration that prosecuted him. And during this administration, it’s the one that has been fully transparent and released all the files. No matter how much criticism people want to make about the Epstein files, that fact is indisputable. Nobody talked about the Epstein files for four years during Biden’s presidency—four years. When President Trump said, “Let’s release the Epstein files,” and the law allowed us to do it, we did it.

Jesse Watters:
Okay, I’m not sure you totally get what people feel about that, but I want to move on.

On the fraud front, Blanche delivered pure music to the ears of every taxpayer sick of getting ripped off. He announced a fresh takedown in Los Angeles: eight individuals arrested for allegedly bilking over $50 million from American taxpayers. And yes, it includes “leadership in state governments” who looked the other way.

He also confirmed the DOJ is prioritizing investigations into reports that Democrats took millions in foreign donations and may have lied about it.
