Fixtures
- Hibernian Women Vs. Partick Thistle Women - Sun, Apr 05 2026, 13:00
THE LOWDOWN
Joelle Murray's side are enjoying a seven-game unbeaten stretch in the league following Wednesday's victory over Glasgow City.
Buoyant from an Edinburgh Derby victory, Hibs battled hard to claim all three points at Petershill Park - inflicting a first home league defeat to the league leaders this season.
It was a 51st minute strike of the highest order from Eilidh Adams that settled the clash, with our number nine firing in a tremendous top-corner effort from 20 yards.
Following our midweek win, we are currently fifth in the SPWPL standings on 42 points - with the gap between us and fourth-place Celtic shortened to just four points.
TEAM NEWS
Kathleen McGovern and forward partner Adams both played the full 90 against City after the attacking duo were respectively withdrawn and absent through illness 10 days prior versus Hearts.
Club Captain Rachael Boyle and Vice-Captain Ellis Notley were named on the bench on Wednesday night and will be available to play this Sunday.
Kirsten Reilly remains sidelined, while Linzi Taylor is a noted long-term absentee. Both will be not be available for this weekend's match.
THE VISITORS
After a tricky start to the post-split fixtures, Partick Thistle have impressed in their last two matches against strong Glasgow opposition.
Securing a top-six finish on the final day of the regular season, the Jags sit far adrift of the top five clubs - on 17 points - and were convincingly beaten by both City and Hearts in their first two post-split fixtures.
However, Gary Holt's side have came extremely close to putting points on the board in the last fortnight - with a stoppage-time 3-2 defeat to Celtic and a narrow 1-0 loss to Rangers notably positive results.
Our two league meetings against the Petershill Park outfit have ended in Hibs wins - with a 5-0 away rout on matchday two followed up by a 3-0 home triumph in November.
Adams bagged a brace in our first meeting in Springburn as Caley Gibb and Tiree Burchill, who scored twice, nabbed their first goals for the Club; whilst McGovern, Notley and Kirsty Morrison found the net in the reverse fixture at Meadowbank.
