Post Office opening times for Good Friday and Easter 2026
Spring is finally here and with it, Easter.
For anyone who needs to collect or send a last-minute Easter gift from the Post Office, you’ll need to check whether your local branch is open over the weekend before leaving the house.
To help, Metro has brought together the expected opening times for Post Office outlets over the Easter period. However, we do recommend you check the opening times for your local branches using the Post Office’s branch finder.

Post Office outlets are expected to close on Good Friday as it’s a bank holiday, although branches that do remain open will likely close earlier than normal.
Royal Mail has also confirmed that there will be no deliveries or collections on Good Friday in Northern Ireland, Wales and England, except in TD15. In Scotland, collections and deliveries will function as normal.
Easter Saturday
Its expected that Post Office will operate as normal on Saturday, April 4, with most branches open between 9am and 6pm, though this will depend on your local branch – find opening times using the Post Office’s branch finder.
Easter Sunday
The Post Office will likely close most branches on Easter Sunday. Again, if some locations are open, expect reduced operating hours.
