“No, that’s just a rumor. I’m not in it. I wish I was. I love doing voice work, but no, that was an internet rumor,” Anna told Variety. “My mom and dad called me, and they’re like, ‘You’re in it?’ I was like, ‘No, but I wish I was.’”
The voice cast for Toy Story 5 has a stacked cast of new and returning stars, including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Tony Hale, John Ratzenberger and Wallace Shawn, as well as Conan O’Brien, Craig Robinson, Matty Matheson and more joining the cast for the fifth installment.
While she won’t be in Toy Story 5, Anna will be reprising her role as Cindy in the upcoming Scary Movie 6. Watch the trailer here!
“In February of 2025, [Marlon Wayans] called me, and he said, ‘We’re getting the gang back together.’ I couldn’t believe it,” she told Variety about finding out they would be making another Scary Movie. “So, for this to happen in this way has been euphoric for me. I’ve been so sentimental. I feel like I’m finally in a place where I could really thank them, where I could tell Keenan [Ivory Wayans], ‘You’ve changed my life.’”
“It was so pivotal as opposed to remembering how terrified I was back in those early days. It has been incredible for me,” Anna added. “I don’t know too many people who get to have this life experience where it’s this kind of beautiful reunion. The fact that the audience seems hungry for it, it’s thrilling. I did not imagine this for myself.”
