Home started production in Vancouver this week and will film in April and May before releasing this Thanksgiving.
Mike will play a “charming con man sentenced to community service” named Johnny J.
“His path changes when he bonds with an immigrant child named Gustavo, and Johnny soon must risk everything to help protect the youngster and create a home for him,” says the outlet.
Sean has previously directed movies like The King’s Daughter, Reagan, and Soul Surfer. The script for Home was written by Howie Klausner and Dutch Hofstetter Jr.
The film is inspired by the life of George Müller, whose faith guided him in caring for over 10,000 orphans before he died in 1898.
“Home is a story about redemption, belonging and the unexpected ways we find purpose through other people. At its core, it’s about protecting those who need it most and redefining what family really means,” says the director.
Bad Bunny has stayed plenty busy since the Super Bowl, in May he performed at his first-ever Asia concert for Spotify.
