Nigel Farage needs a tank to get through ‘broken, lawless’ London
Nigel Farage caused a bizarre scene in east London as he rode a tank through the streets with a boxing champion.
The Reform UK leader and British boxer, Derek Chisora, decided to hop into a tank and take it for a spin at rush hour today.
It was part of the heavyweight boxer’s publicity stunt for his upcoming fight against American fighter Deontay Wilder.
Earlier, Farage commented on the unrest in Clapham, which forced the high street to close after mobs of teens ransacked shops.
The Reform leader described the scenes as ‘appalling.’
When asked about the scenes that unfolded in the south London borough this week during a Reform press conference, Farage said: ‘A lot of people are blaming social media platforms, I understand that.
‘The people we should be blaming are not the social media platforms.
‘The people we should be blaming are those who behave in such an appalling, frightening, intimidatory manner.
‘And I’m afraid, London is broken, London is lawless.’
He claimed that victims of crime in London are not ‘bothering to report it because the police do nothing and you damage your prospects with the insurance company.’
Footage shows Farage and Chisora, who is a vocal Reform supporter, riding the noisy tank along Cambridge Heath Road through Tower Hamlets.
