“I looked down at my phone, and all of a sudden…boom,” he is heard saying in the footage, obtained by TMZ.
In the footage, he’s also told that they want medical professionals to check him out for any possible injuries, to which he agrees.
A witness claims that Tiger hit the trailer attached to a pickup truck, and the driver said he attempted to move away, but couldn’t avoid the crash.
In the arrest affidavit, police said Tiger showed “severe signs of impairment,” with his eyes described as “bloodshot and glassy,” and his pupils “extremely dilated.”
However, he was “extremely alert” during the investigation, per TMZ.
Two loose hydrocodone pills (pain medicine) were found in his pocket, according to the docs.
Tiger is facing charges of DUI with property damage and refusing to submit to a lawful test, and pleaded not guilty.
Earlier in the week, Tiger‘s legal team asked for permission for him to exit the United States to get treatment somewhere where he could have privacy, which was approved by a judge.
Last week, after crashing his Land Rover, Tiger reportedly failed a sobriety test. He also told deputies that he had over 20 operations on his leg and back, which prevented him from being physically able to complete some of the field sobriety tests. The court documents from his plea entry say his license has been suspended.
“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery,” Tiger shared on his Instagram Story. Find out what else he said.
