NFL Player Puka Nacua Enters Rehab, Lawyer Confirms He Sought Treatment Before Restraining Order Was Filed
Puka Nacua is seeking treatment.
The 24-year-old Los Angeles Rams football player checked into a rehab facility in Malibu in March, his attorney confirmed to The California Post.
The news comes a week after it was revealed a woman filed a restraining order against the NFL player following an alleged incident on New Year’s Eve, and going into treatment was not a direct response to the lawsuit.

“He was in there a substantial period of time before any of these allegations broke with Madison,” Puka‘s attorney Levi McCathern said. “He’s scheduled to be there for a while longer.”
The attorney added the athlete’s goal is “to improve his overall behavior in every aspect of his life that he can do it.”
In another statement provided to the NFL’s The Insiders, Levi stated, “Puka is taking responsibility for his well being and is focused on improving his performance during the offseason. Well before any temporary restraining order was filed by Madison Atiabi, and subsequently denied by the court, Puka voluntarily entered a private facility to focus on his health, personal growth, and over development – and I’m really proud of him for that ahead of his upcoming season.”
Levi noted to The Post that he has spoken to Puka and says he’s in great spirits and thinks he’s doing “absolutely fabulous.”
Late last year, Puka posted and deleted a controversial statement.
