Taylor Swift Is Reportedly Ditching a Traditional Wedding Detail Ahead of Her Marriage to Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift’s reported June 13 wedding to Travis Kelce is ramping up, and the plans seem to be taking a nontraditional route.
The 36-year-old singer is reportedly choosing to eliminate her bridal party — no “formal bridesmaids,” per an Us Weekly source. Still, her A-list friends will be close by.
“She has already asked her close girlfriends, like Selena [Gomez] and Gigi [Hadid], to sleep over at her Rhode Island home the night before the wedding,” a second insider revealed.
While she’s unexpectedly ditching that part of her wedding, the first source is promising that the rest of the wedding will be traditional.
“With Taylor’s dad walking her down the aisle and all the classic touches, like the father-daughter and mother-son dances,” the second insider added. “Taylor loves those emotional, meaningful moments, and Travis [is] on the same page.”

Swift is expected to have “at least three or four” bachelorette weekends with her girl gang, including Hadid and Gomez, The U.S. Sun claimed in December 2025. “The excitement is massive,” their Swift insider shared, including details of a mini-world tour.
The celebrations will reportedly take place in New York City, Italy, and the Bahamas, and Swift’s besties are organizing the details wherever they can meet up — Los Angeles, NYC, and Nashville.
“The goal is to have fun, spend weekends together, and enjoy the process while also working on the planning in beautiful locations where they can relax, celebrate, and bond,” the insider divulged.
While some Swifties might be surprised that their favorite pop star decided to forgo a big bridal tradition, Swift might have hinted at the struggles of having a big social circle on The Graham Norton Show in October 2025.

“I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount, and people are on the bubble,” Swift explained to Norton. “And you have to evaluate or assess your relationship with them to see if they should be there. I’m not gonna do that.”
Sometimes it’s just easier to invite everyone as a guest instead of trying to whittle them down to a bridesmaid or maid of honor. Swift may have taken the most diplomatic route.
Swift and Kelce got engaged in August 2025 after dating for two years.
