Midwest, Great Lakes to get slammed Tuesday night
AccuWeather.com is calling for heavy thunderstorms and damaging winds across the Midwest and Great Lakes regions tonight.
"Tuesday night's storms may bring large hail, damaging wind gusts and a few tornadoes, with the greatest concentration from southern Michigan to northeast Illinois, the northern parts of Indiana and Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania," AccuWeather Meteorologist Brandon Buckingham said.
Other territories in line for later in the week
Come Wednesday, the serious storms will shift south and roll through "central Texas through central and southeastern Kansas into southwestern and central Missouri."
Elsewhere, the Mid-Atlantic is also expected to see torrential rain and dangerous winds.
"Farther to the east, heavy thunderstorms will drench portions of the Ohio Valley and the mid-Atlantic region Wednesday," AccuWeather said. "Along with downpours that can slow travel, some storms may produce winds strong enough to break tree branches and send trash cans and recycling bins flying."
What do Thursday and Friday have in store?
The inclement weather will retrace its steps and hit some places for the second time this week.
"Severe storms will return to the Midwest Thursday before taking aim at the Plains again Friday," said Weather.com.
As for Saturday, thunderstorms are possible "along an advancing cold front from northeast Texas to southwest Ontario and western New York," AccuWeather adds.
Lastly, the Interstate 95 corridor could be the target of downpours and high winds on Easter Sunday.
