American Idol's Ruby Rae Sings Her Top 14 Song on TikTok After Being Eliminated on Live Show
Ruby Rae was one of the six contestants who were eliminated during the first few minutes of American Idol‘s first live show of the season, so she sadly didn’t get to perform the song she prepared.
The Top 20 contestants had performed across two pre-taped episodes filmed in Hawaii and America voted for their favorites to advance to the next round. Ryan Seacrest announced the results of the vote at the beginning of the episode and the Top 14 singers all performed during the two-hour episode on Monday night (March 30).
Unfortunately for the six contestants who were eliminated, they all had to prepare songs in hopes of making it through, but then didn’t get the chance to actually perform.
Ruby took to her TikTok account after the show and performed for her fans on social media instead!

Ruby, 17, then performed her cover of Lauren Daigle‘s “You Say.”
She wrote in the caption, “i’m so grateful and TRUST this won’t be the last u see of me ????↕️???? i had so much fun and thank u all for supporting me along the way.”
