The New York Post then asked Noem for comment about the accusations and reported that her representatives told The Post, "Ms. Noem is devastated. The family was blindsided by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers at the time." In a Father's Day column when she was governor, Kristi gushed about Bryon, writing, "Bryon is a partner in all I do and a helpmate through peaceful and busy times. He's not perfect, but he's perfect for me. I thank God for the father he gave to Kassidy, Kennedy and Booker."

Bryon Noem spoke about his family history in a bio posted on an insurance company website.
"I grew up on a farm in Hamlin County between Bryant and Lake Norden, hauling bales, cleaning barn, pitching hay, swimming in creeks, amongst other things farm kids get to do. In 1988 I graduated from Hamlin High School and then Northern State University in 1993," he says in the bio.
"I was fortunate to marry Kristi Arnold in May 1992 and we have three wonderful children, Kassidy, Kennedy, and Booker. I worked for my dad through college and then worked for Kristi's family farm for 10 years until taking job at Bryant State Bank in 2003 to manage their insurance agency," he added.
"I purchased that agency in 2010 and continue to this day. I am blessed to be doing what I do - working with great people. I have a great staff! You should get to know us. We think you will like us!" Bryon's bio says.
The company promises "old-fashioned service... easy as pie."
There were questions about the Noem marriage before. According to NBC News, "Noem and (Corey) Lewandowski have also repeatedly faced allegations of an extramarital affair, which they have denied."
Kristi Noem Called Her Husband, Bryon Noem, a 'Husband, Father, Servant' in a Column
In the column for Father's Day when she was governor, Kristi praised Bryon and called him a "husband, father, servant."
"At our house, Bryon completes many of our chores. I am gone a lot, and he is left to handle all things related to kids, ranch, and house," she wrote. "I know that I am blessed to have a husband who recognizes how wonderful it is for me to come back to a clean house and tended family, and he tries to make that happen. But over the years, what has made me love him more each day is the way he loves our kids."
She explained why she married Bryon.
"You see, I married Bryon because I loved him and wanted to build a life with him, but at the time I really had no idea what kind of a father he would be. I had a sneaking suspicion he would be a great dad because he has a wonderful father who is a great role model," she added. "Bryon loves the Lord and understands the responsibility that God gives to men to lead their families. As the years went by and the kids were born, his actions revealed to me how he viewed fatherhood. He served."
She added: "When you look at our family home videos, you will find they were all taken by Bryon. I'm not sure it ever occurred to me to document those busy years. Yet there are hours and hours of video of the kids playing, talking, and sometimes just watching TV! It is almost as if he knew how special those moments were and wanted to save them for me to enjoy when I decided to slow down enough to appreciate them."
