Fans Get Update on Aubrey Plaza’s Grieving Journey as News Breaks About Home She Shared With Late Husband Jeff Baena

After her husband, Jeff Baena, died by suicide on Jan. 3, 2025, at the age of 47, Aubrey Plaza has (understandably so) taken a bit of a step back from the public eye, not attending as many events as before. Many fans have sent their well-wishes to her over the past 14 months, and have wondered how she’s doing, and now, there’s been a major update.
Back in Sept 2025, Plaza listed her and Baena’s Los Feliz home for $6.5 million, but later delisted it and put it up in Jan 2026 for a lower price for the four-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom home. It’s unclear what the price is now, but per Realtor, Plaza has found a buyer for the home they shared (which is also tragically the place Baena died by suicide and the place of Plaza’s production company, Evil Hag Productions).
So it seems Plaza is saying goodbye to their home, a pivotal moment in any grieving journey.

For those who don’t know, the pair met during a game night and started dating in 2011. The pair collaborated on films like Life After Beth (2014), Joshy (2016), The Little Hours (2017), and Spin Me Round (2022).
“I’d say it’s an amazing experience to work with your partner in this way. I’ve worked with Jeff since his first movie,” Plaza gushed to MovieFreak in 2017. “I’ve seen him evolve and I’ve seen him grow. It’s a really special dynamic that we have. It’s challenging at times but it’s also really rewarding to do something together like this.”
They secretly married in 2021 in their backyard, but separated in 2024.
A few months later, he tragically passed. She said in a statement to People on Jan. 6, “This is an unimaginable tragedy. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time,” and her social media accounts at the time while she grieved.
