Lo Bosworth Explains Why She Missed Press Day for 'Laguna Beach' Reunion Special

Lo Bosworth sadly wasn’t able to join her former Laguna Beach cast members at the press events earlier this week.

For the past several days, stars of the early 2000s hit MTV reality show – including Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, and Stephen Colletti – have been busy promoting the upcoming Roku special, The Reunion: Laguna Beach, in Los Angeles.

In a video shared on Instagram on Thursday (March 26), Lo, 39, addressed her absence from the press events.

Keep reading to find out more…Lo explained that she wasn’t able to join her former co-stars because she welcomed her first child, daughter Nelle, in January 2026 and has been experiencing some childbirth complications.

“No, I didn’t go to the Laguna Beach press day. Not because I didn’t want to be there,” Lo said in the video. “I just had a baby, and I have to get some placenta removed next week. Surgically. That was accidentally left behind.”

In the caption of the post, Lo wrote, “I didn’t go!!!! But not bc I didn’t want to – I did! I live in NYC and I just had a babbbyyyy and I have to have a fragment of placenta removed in a few days. I wore my black and white outfit at home yesterday in solidarity lol.”

“Sending love from the east coast! ♥️????” she added.
